Huddle01 is a web3 startup that is building the world’s first decentralized real-time communication network. The platform is at the forefront of the video-conferencing and audio communication industry where it hopes to leverage blockchain technology to make cheaper, faster and more accessible than before and from anywhere. The firm’s product has been lauded by eminent actors even as it is still in development because it has the potential to disrupt and revolutionize the way people communicate. The firm is also poised to offer web3 video meetings and infrastructure and one-click Token-gated meetings. Upon completion of the platform, users will be able to start meetings in few clicks while at the same time schedule Token-gated meetings on their online platform. Developers will also have the ability to leverage Huddle01’s infrastructure to build real-time audio and video applications. To incentivize users to try out the platform, users can host a meeting for free.
Huddle01 is based in India and the US and has recently announced that it has raised $2.8 million in a seed fundraising round that was led by Hivemind, a digital asset investment firm. The funds drive also saw participation from other investors including Superscrypt, M1 Capital, East Ventures, Protocol Labs and Good News Ventures among notable investment firms and angel investors. The recent fundraiser event brings the total funds raised by the platform to $4.5 million to date. The funds acquired from this event will go towards developing the world’s first decentralized communication platform. The platform is set to offer a highly flexible and robust media infrastructure that enables cross-chain audio and video communication between users. The communication facilitated by the platform will be more secure, fast, more efficient and reliable. The solutions that are set to be rolled out include an online platform for scheduling meetings, audio and video infrastructure and a decentralized real-time communication network.
To utilize the full potential of the platform, users are required to sign in with their wallets where they can use their NFTs as an avator among other decentralized identities. The platform also provides recording and storage functionalities where users can record their meetings and store them in a secure IPFS(Inter-Planetary File System) or download them directly. The meetings can even be sent over email. The platform also facilitates interoperability with web2 systems like Twitch, Youtube and Livepeer where events, meetings and gaming sessions can be streamed simultaneously. Community calls and DAO meetings can also be token-gated by Simply using NFTs, tokens or POAP(Proof Of Attendance Protocol).
The proposed system has use cases in Metaverse spaces, gaming, DAOs, education, podcasts and creators. For developers, the firm is set to roll out an API to enable fast integrations with few lines of code therefore concentrate on building their own ideas. Additional features include the ability of users to own their meetings as they can customize the meeting URLs to match their company names and communities. Additional support is also offered for companies requiring enterprise solutions through contacting the platform. Currently, Huddle01 is driving up support for the technology before it begins a massive launch exercise with incentives.
