Delaware-based BlinqIO, a leading generative-AI software testing platform, has successfully raised $5 million in a funding round led by Boston’s Flint Capital. This round saw contributions from Inovia Capital Precede Fund I, spearheaded by ex-Google CFO Patrick Pichette, ex-Deliveroo CFO Raif Jacobs, TAL Ventures, and SeedIL.
This funding will enable BlinqIO to expand its operations across the US, addressing the shortage of test programmers globally. The company plans to open new offices and increase its staff by 15, facilitating faster product launches for large enterprises through scalable, 24/7 virtual testers.
The global software testing market is booming, with projections indicating growth of $15.94 billion by 2027 (Technavio) and a CAGR of 17.3% from 2023 to 2030 (Grand View Research). BlinqIO is set to capitalize on this growth with its advanced generative AI platform, offering autonomous testing agents that improve digital product quality.
Founded in 2023 by Tal Barmeir and Guy Arieli, the creators of Experitest’s SeeTest, BlinqIO’s SaaS-based technology empowers teams by automating test code creation and maintenance. The AI test engineer, proficient in over 50 languages, enhances efficiency across various sectors, including banking, travel, and retail.
Co-founder Tal Barmeir expressed excitement over the funding, highlighting its role in facilitating US expansion and reinforcing BlinqIO’s market position. Sergey Gribov of Flint Capital emphasized the trust in BlinqIO’s founders and the high market demand for GenAI software testing, predicting a successful, long-term collaboration.
With the substantial growth anticipated in the software testing market, BlinqIO is well-positioned to lead in AI-driven test automation. The recent $5 million investment will bolster its growth, aiding in office expansions and workforce increases, further establishing its industry leadership.
